Level 1 Trainee Setter

Hours: Alternating weeks

Week 1: Monday and Tuesday 9-5pm, Week 2: Off, Week 3: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9-5pm, Week 4: Off

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Location: Queensferry

This ensures The Boardroom is a place for all people to explore the wide range of styles, challenges, and learning opportunities that indoor climbing has to offer.

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate climber to join our route setting team as a Level One Setter. This is an entry-level role focusing on boulder setting, perfect for someone looking to develop a career in route setting, with an enthusiasm for climbing and a strong willingness to learn.

You’ll have an eye for detail, with a strong desire to learn from those around you and engage in feedback.

You’ll have an excellent understanding of movement and the foundations of fundamental climbing techniques, with confidence in a range of climbing grades and styles.

You’ll be supported to develop your setting skills, safety knowledge, and creativity while contributing to the climbing experience at our wall. An interest in all setting operations is essential, although no prior experience of these is required.

Successful candidates will be invited for individual interviews on Thursday 13th November. Successful candidates from this session will be invited to a group practical interview session on the 21st November.
