THE

BOARDROOM

COVID-19

GUIDELINES

for climbing at The Boardroom

From the 28th January 2022 Wales has moved to Alert Level 0.

What does this mean? And what is the meaning of life?:

Masks indoors, unless you’re at a club, pub, cafe or getting married. But even in these places it’s strongly advised you wear a mask.

From the gov.wales site:

“…from 28 January 2022, there are no legal limits on the number of people who can meet, including in private homes, public places or at events. In addition all businesses and premises may be open.

However, we have not yet reached a position where we can remove all protections and – in line with the latest scientific and public health advice – we are keeping some key rules in place in law. In these respects collective responsibility is needed rather than personal choice.

  1. Businesses, employers and other organisations must continue to undertake a specific coronavirus risk assessment and take reasonable measures to minimise exposure to, and the spread of, coronavirus.
  2. Everyone must follow self-isolation rules and guidance.
  3. Adults and children over 11 must continue to wear face-coverings  on public transport and in indoor public places, with the exception of hospitality settings such as restaurants, pubs, cafes, nightclubs or for solemnisation of a marriage, formation of a civil partnership or an alternative wedding ceremonies, although it is still strongly advised in these settings.”

Please be considerate of other climbers.

Wipe down gym equipment and training areas before and after use with spray and cloths provided.

Don’t touch your face! And cough/sneeze into a tissue or crease of the elbow.

We have done everything possible by following government guidelines to ensure we minimise the risk.

PLEASE WEAR A MASK*  unless you are climbing or eating.

RESPECT OTHER CLIMBERS

NB: If you are an adult supervising children, you will need to be registered here so we can check you in to monitor numbers. 1 adult can supervise up to 2 children. All children must be registered here and have climbed here before, unless they are being supervised by us.

INSTRUCTED SESSIONS

Our instructors will be wearing visors to deliver sessions. Masks must be worn in general areas and reception, but not whilst climbing.

If you are booked onto a session run by one of our instructors

*Children under 11 are not required to wear a mask

As for the meaning of life: Surely, it’s to climb.
